The reviews of Caged<\/em> are fascinating. No one ever spends this much time analyzing or discussing my paintings.<\/p>\n

I sometimes wonder if I should write\u00a0a post addressing some of the common issues that people have or wait until someone just\u00a0asks me why I chose to\u00a0write it the way I did.<\/p>\n

What do authors\u00a0normally do?<\/p>\n

I've never been one to write about any of my work. I'd rather leave that up to other people. \u00a0I mean - I know<\/em> my book. I wrote it for me.\u00a0I feel odd even having left a tiny review of it... for the same reason that I would feel uncomfortable\u00a0saying to someone: \"Hey look at what I'm wearing! Isn't it well put together? Aren't my shoes nice?\"<\/p>\n

Not that I'm\u00a0interested in defending<\/em>\u00a0Caged<\/em>. I'm really not. I have little interest in that\u00a0sort of thing in general. \u00a0Everyone's opinion is completely valid in my opinion. I just wonder if folks would benefit from knowing what\u00a0in the book is done on purpose or if will just leave them scratching their heads even more.<\/p>\n

Edit:<\/strong> Though, thinking about it now, I might end up frustrating people if they do ask me questions. I've never been good at\u00a0answering\u00a0anything straight if I can avoid it:<\/em><\/p>\n
